Ed Miliband’s comment published yesterday in the Evening Standard warns that “London’s position as a global business capital is in danger unless hundreds of thousands of new homes are built”.
The Labour leader highlights the lack of affordable flats and houses in the Capital which “are vital to ensure firms have the young professionals and skilled workers they need to expand”.
Action against property firms sitting on prime land as well as reduction of empty homes owned by absentee foreign investors are both part of his plan aiming to tackle the current housebuilding crisis.
